What makes you different from any other production company?

We are experts in podcasting, thanks to our collective experience in radio, working for some of the biggest stations in the UK. We know how to make podcasts that engage, entertain and excite audiences.

The time taken for each job varies according to its needs. The average podcast episode takes two or three days from recording to delivery.

How much does it cost?

The price of each job is determined by the amount of production time and setup required. We work on clear, itemised budgets with fixed rates to ensure consistency and value, to get a price, please contact us here:

Do you need a full brief?

The simple answer is ‘no’. We can work from just a basic idea, but a brief of some sort will make it easier for everybody involved to understand what is required and how best to achieve it.

Do you have to record in a studio?

In short, the answer is ‘no’. It depends entirely on the podcast. We record some series in studio, some on location in client’s offices or where the guests are, and more recently we have recorded a large amount of content remotely using systems that capture high-quality audio.

Can you look after distribution as well as production?

We can indeed. Our relationships with podcasting hosting services mean that we can work with you to maximise your reach and also understand how to optimise platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are normally in line with the industry standard practice of 50% in advance of production and 50% invoiced on delivery of the final files.

Do you just work in London?

Although we are based in Central London, our work takes us all over the world and as we can record high-quality audio remotely, we can make podcasts almost anywhere. Remote recording is a very simple process and requires minimal technical knowledge from participants.

How important is diversity to The Podcast Works?

As somebody from an ethnic background, our founder Des knows exactly what diversity means and how it needs to improve within the media industry. We are actively involved in partnerships and initiatives that are looking to change things for the better.
