The Podcast Works is one of the leading podcast production companies in the UK. We have been involved in podcasting for many years, creating content for brands and businesses. Our titles encompass a wide range of genres including lifestyle, sport, health and music. We understand how podcasts work and why they can be such a powerful way to tell stories, thanks to our heritage in another medium where audio content matters, radio.

Founder Des Paul has spent much of his career working at the highest levels of commercial radio for brands such as Global & Bauer. He also headed up the music programming team at MTV Networks and worked in the music industry as Head of Media for Ministry of Sound. His knowledge of how audiences consume and engage with content is unparalleled, and what makes us stand out from the crowd is that we put the audience at the heart of everything we do.

However, the key to The Podcast Works is the team that Des has brought together to make it all happen. This includes one of BBC Radio 1’s most well-known names, Dave Vitty, who works on creative and talent-led podcast content. Dave’s 16 years at Radio 1, broadcasting to over 10 million people per week has given him huge experience of how to make entertaining content for large audiences, how to get the best out of talent and how to come up with ideas that work.

Joining Dave is another Radio 1 export, Will Kinder who was responsible for much of Radio 1’s output during his time as Executive Producer, and led the evolution of the radio station into a multi-platform channel with his ground-breaking work in developing Radio 1’s visualisation team. Like Dave, Will has worked with Des for many years on bringing The Podcast Works’ content to life, looking after recording, editing and delivery of podcasts for our business and corporate clients.

We believe strongly in improving diversity within the media industry and work with a number of initiatives including the Media For All mentoring scheme, where we actively work with young people from ethnically diverse backgrounds who are coming into the industry.
